About Us

My name is Ryan and I started Homade Innovations because I want to help people enjoy the sport of shooting and hunting. I was injured in 2002 when I fell from a trampoline and suffered a spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed from the chest down. My favorite activity is getting outdoors to hunt and I was determined to not let my injury get in the way. I've been continually building and testing ideas that make it easy and affordable for anyone with a disability to get back out in the woods or on the gun range. We currently have one product available which is the Shot Strap. This product will allow most people who lack manual dexterity to shoot a semi auto shotgun, some break barrel shotguns, semi auto rifles, and bolt action rifles. We have other products in line but due to being independently funded we have to start small and as we grow we can invest in bringing other products to our line. Our business is located in Kalamazoo and consists of a small 3 person team. This is our first year of official business and we hope it's a good one!
